How to activate a PlayStation gift card (redeem a code)

Important note before you start

• Gift cards are often region-locked: you must redeem a card that matches the country/region of your PSN account.

• A PlayStation code is usually printed or emailed as a series of letters/numbers — enter it exactly (hyphens/spaces optional depending on the input field).

• Redeeming adds funds to your wallet (or redeems content/subscription if the code is for a specific item).

On PS5

1. Turn on the PS5 and sign in to the PlayStation Network account you want to add funds to.

2. Open the PlayStation Store from the home screen.

3. Select your profile icon (top right).

4. Choose Redeem Codes.

5. Enter the 12–16 character code shown on your card or in your email, then select Redeem.

6. Confirm — funds or content will be added to your wallet/account immediately.

(You can also select Redeem Codes from the sidebar of the PS Store when checking out.)

On PS4

1. Sign in on your PS4.

2. Open the PlayStation Store.

3. Scroll down the left side and select More (or look for the menu with three dots).

4. Choose Redeem Codes.

5. Type in the code and confirm. Funds/content will be applied to your account.

On the PlayStation website (desktop / browser)

1. Go to the PlayStation Store and sign in to the same PSN account.

2. Click your profile/avatar in the top-right menu.

3. Select Redeem Codes from the dropdown.

4. Enter the code and click Redeem. Funds will be added to your wallet or content activated.

On the PlayStation App (mobile)

1. Open the PlayStation App and sign in.

2. Tap the PlayStation Store icon (or your profile).

3. Tap your avatar or menu and choose Redeem Codes.

4. Enter the code and confirm.

How to check your wallet balance (after redeeming)

• On console: Open the PlayStation Store > select your avatar/profile > go to Payment Management or Wallet to view balance.

• On web/app: Profile > Account > Payment Methods or Wallet to view balance.
